This recipe is from Priya's Blog which is being featured in this months edition of Tried and Tasted hosted here. The original recipe uses corn grits ,since I did not have it I skipped it.Instead I pulsed the millet grits for a few seconds so that there were still some grits left to give the dosa a good texture.
This dosa was delicious and the aroma while cooking the dosa was really awesome!!!We had it with Tangy and spicy garlic chutney, also from her blog.

Asafoetida powder-a pinch
Curry leaves-a few

- In a large vessel add all the ingredients and add enough water to make a thick batter
- Heat a griddle and pour a ladle full of batter and spread it to a circle.[You will not get a perfect circle because we have added onions which will not be easy to spread.].I did not drizzle oil,you can if you wish.
- When the edges leave the griddle, flip it over and cook for a minute.
- Remove from heat and serve with a spicy side dish.
