Eggless Peppermint Flavored Sugar Cookies | Easy Christmas Bakes

When I made the Eggless Basic Cookie Dough, I had in mind a whole bunch of cookies to try with it and one among them was sugar cookies. I had planned a simple cookie and when I got ready to bake, I changed my mind and add peppermint essence to give it a different flavor. And when my eyes fell on the box of sugar hearts, I knew I could make the cookies more colorful by using the colorful sugar hearts!

Aren't they pretty to look at!!!

I used:

1/5 portion of the Eggless Basic Cookie Dough weighing approx. 160 grams
Peppermint essence- a few drops
Sugar hearts - a few, crushed [ not powdered]

Add a few drops of the essence to the dough and mix in gently.

Take a portion of the dough and roll it into a thin disc. Using small cookie cutters punch out the dough. Place the colorful sugar crystals got from crushing the sugar heats in a wide plate and place the cut out shapes on teh sugar. Press gently so that the sugar sticks to the dough.

Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 8 minutes or till the bottom of the cookies turn light brown.Carefully remove from the tray and let it cool.

Crispy sugary cookies are ready!!!
