Here is another easy breakfast that I like to fall back on when there are no other choices not only because it is quick to make, also because it is a very nutritious way to start the day.
This dosa is for Blogging Marathon #59, Week 2, Day 3, with the theme - Instant breakfasts.
I used:
Idli / Dosa batter- 3 cups
Ragi flour - 3/4 cup
Besan- 1/4 cup
Whole wheat flour- 1/4 cup
Finely chopped onion- 1/4 cup + a little more for topping
Grated carrot- 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves, chopped
Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves- a few, chopped
Salt to taste
Take the batter and the flours in bowl and add little by little and mix to a batter of pouring consistency.
Add curry leaves, cumin/ jeera, curry leaves, onion, carrot, salt and mix well.
Heat a griddle and pour a ladle full of batter in the center and spread to a circle .When the side is almost cooked top it with a little more onion .Press it down with the ladle. Flip it over and cook on the other side as well.
Serve garnished with a little bits of coriander leaves.
Note:
- The proportions of the flour and batter can be adjusted to suit your taste.
- Adding veggies to the dosa batter is optional but it tastes good with the veggies in it.
