A simple and easy raita that can be prepared in a jiffy!!!! This was a part of the Simple South Indian Lunch thali
You need:
Fresh and thick yogurt - 2 cups
Freshly grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves to garnish
To season
Oil -1 teaspoon
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Urad dal- 1/2 teaspoon
Curry leaves - a few
Red chilli -1, broken into 2
- Whisk the yogurt with salt.
- Heat oil for seasoning and add the ingredients mentioned under 'to season'.
- When it splutters and the dal turns brown,pour into yogurt.
- Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
