Sometime ago I had prepared a Chinese Fried Rice.I had more veggies in hand than that as required. So they found a home in a very simple wrap that is flavorful, low in calories, high in fiber, makes use of leftover / fresh chapathi/roti.How good can it get!!
I used:
Chapathi
Capsicum chopped
Boiled edmame
Sprouted lentils[I used sprouted green gram and horsegram]
Onion,finely chopped
Tomato,firm,finely chopped
Ginger garlic-grated
Soya sauce
Salt to taste
Spring onions,chopped
- Heat a wok with a little oil.
- Put in grated Ginger and garlic and saute for a few seconds.
- Add onions followed by the other vegetables ,soya sauce and salt[if required coz soya sauce is a little salty].The veggies need not cook fully. It is more tasty if they have a light crunch.
- Remove from heat.
- Place the required quantity of vegetable over a chapathi.Roll and serve.
You can also add beansprouts, chopped tofu, cabbage etc to make it all the more healthy....
Sending this to Priya who is hosting Only Series-Low Oil/Low calorie,an event started by Pari..
