Last month I announced MEC and these wonderful ladies sent me their favorite dishes that were cooked exclusively on the microwave.I enjoyed reading about their dishes and thank you all for your participation.A special thanks to dear Srivalli for letting me host her wonderful event.

Rice dishes
Srivalli of Cooking 4 all seasons,[the brain behind this wonderful event :)] Sambar Sadham,a delight to prepare in the MW,where we get to catch up with our work while the MW gets our meal ready.
Mina Joshi of Authentic Vegetarian Recipes made this tempting Bharella mutter bhat,a recipe that originated from East Africa and a favorite to her hubby and her MIL. She says this dish has a lot of memories associated with it.
SS of SS Blogs Here prepared Methi Pulao.She says its a family favorite which is prepared for every family gathering with curry. Naturally,it has a lot of nostalgia associated with it.

Side dishes
Srivalli of Cooking 4 all seasons also made this yummy Yellow Moong Dal,her favorite dish that goes very well with Puffy pooris.
Veena of Veg junction prepared her daughters favorite Bhendi/Okra fry. Veena says we can control the crispiness according to our choice.
Swapna of Simple Vegetarian Recipes prepared Pineapple Jam.Swapna says she loves to have jams as a side dish with any tiffin!
Jayasree of Kailas Kitchen sent in Mango Murabba,her family's favorite jam.
Kalyani and Gayatri Rajamani of Adiruchi prepared this easy Kara Kulambu ,a side dish ready at the press of a magic button.
Swati Sapna of The Weekend Epicuriean sent in her Lemon pepper baby potatoes.For Swati favorite dish is anything to do with potatoes!!! The spicier the better!She says this dish was born out of the marriage between her all time fav veggie and new found spice love.

Desserts
After using the rice cooker and stove top,Srivalli of Cooking 4 all seasons,made this Carrot Halwa in the MW.This is one of the desserts that is often prepared at her place.
Another dessert from Srivalli,Sooji ka Halwa.The fluffy halwa sure did seduce me.
Aparna of Apy Cooking! sent in Apple Kheer,which she made for her son whose favorite fruit is Apple and she says he loves to drink this kheer in his tiny glass.
Krishnaveni's of Krishnaveni's Kitchen made this Peaches and Sour Cream,which is her family's favorite dessert and a healthy one too...
Nivedita of Nivedita's Kitchen baked this delicious Black forest cake,her daughters favorite cake.
